To create web to lead forms in salesforce go to Setup.

Now go to Customize=>Leads=>Web to Lead.

Select web to lead as shown above.

Now select create web-to-lead Form button as shown above.

 After selecting web to lead button we are taken to new page where we have to select fields that to be appear in Web to lead form. Select the fields from Available Fields. Selected fields will be available as shown above. After selecting fields enter the returning URL we have entered http://www.crmsalesforcetraining.com as returning URL. Select language.

Now select Generate Button.

Now Html code will be generated. Now follow below steps.

  • Copy Html code and paste it on Notepad.
  • Save that with .html extension (example web to lead.html)
  • Go to web to lead from and open it on browser.
  • Now web to lead form will be generated.

To check Web to lead forms in salesforce code.

Copy the code and paste it on the website page. Now web to lead form will be formed as below.

Enter all the details as show above and select Submit button. After selecting submit button new lead will be generated in salesforce.

 Now log in to salesforce.com through login.salesforce.com and go to Leads Tab.

Lead which is generated through web to lead form as shown above. Open that lead to view the details.

We have successfully created web to lead form in salesforce. With the web-to-lead form feature we can create up to 500 leads per day.

How to convert a Lead to opportunity in salesforce

Convert a Lead to opportunity in salesforce : In our previous salesforce training tutorial we have created new lead in salesforce. Now in this salesforce tutorial we are going to learn how to convert a lead to opportunity in salesforce.

Converting a lead to opportunity takes place only when a lead is qualified in an organization then we convert that lead to an account, lead to contact and lead to opportunity. When a lead is converted to opportunity it appears on forecasting reports in salesforce.

Now select the lead that to be converted to opportunity.

Click convert .

Enter the name for the opportunity, Enter subject name, priority and select status.

Select Convert.

After select convert button now we are taken to Account page  as shown above. After converting lead to opportunity Account is automatically created with company name as account name and Account will be created with first and last name of the lead in the contact name field.

 When Goals and coaching feeds are enabled in Salesforce.com we get updates on these feeds. These updates  can get notifications about important changes in goals and coaching so that we can notify to those specified people.

Follow the steps to enable tracking feeds for goals and coaching in Salesforce.com.

  • Go to Setup=>Customize=>Chatter=>Feed Tracking.

Click on feed Tracking to select the object that to be tracked.

  • Now we are taken to new page where we have to select objects that to be tracked.

In the left handed side of the page we have list of all objects in chatter that to be tracked. Click on the Goal object  as shown below.

From above screen we observed that “Zero” has been made to be tracked. Click on Goal object and go to fields in the goal object. Here we can make a selection upto 20 fields for feed tacking and click on Save button to save all settings.

Note :- Selecting Due Date, Goal name Owner name and Description are very helpful for feed tracking.

How to create New Lead in salesforce

When a person enters to data base to purchase some products then we enter this person as a lead. In Easy understanding we say Leads as Tadpoles and Contacts as Frog.

In an organization when a customer call we have to enter his/her information detail . These information details will be used in future to contact that person. So we have to create new lead in this process.

To create new lead go to Lead TAB and Select new.
