Dashboard in Salesforce :- In our previous Salesforce Tutorial we have learned about how to create reports in Salesforce. In this CRM Salesforce Training Tutorial we are going to learn how to create a dashboard in Salesforce with report types.

What is a dashboard in Salesforce ?

Dashboards are the pictorial or visual representation of the data that are generated from reports. By using the reports we can generate Dashboards in sfdc. Dashboard components are graphical elements. Dashboard components are those which are used to represent in graphical forms like pie chart, gauges, metrics, tables.

How to Create a Dashboard in Salesforce ?

To create a Dashboard in Salesforce follow the path.

Go to Reports tab.

  • Components : Dashboard Components are like pie charts, Gauges, Graphs, Tables, Funnel and so on.
  • Data Source :- Data Source is the the report type to which we want to create Dashboard in Salesforce.
  • Select Wide, Narrow or medium for Dashboard components size.
  • Drag an Drop any of the component to left side.
  • Now go to Data source

Creating Tabs in salesforce.com is already learned in our previous salesforce tutorial training. Now building Custom Web Page Tab on Salesforce.com means enabling custom web tab to display web content or applications embedded within the salesforce.com CRM application window.

By using this we can view external web application like www.crmsalesforcetraining.com for any information without leaving the salesforce.com CRM application. In this salesforce tutorial we are going to create CRM Salesforce Training web tab to open our www.crmsalesforcetraining.com website in same window.

In step 3 we are required to enter the URL.

  • We we want to preview Web tab click on Preview Web Tab .

Extend Your Year Range to 2025 on salesforce.com Calendar : In our previous Salesforce Tutorial we have learned about Creating Account Credit score graphics with Google image charts. In this  CRM Salesforce Training Tutorial we are going to learn about How to extend your year range to 2025 on salesforce.com Calendar .

In salesforce.com we have many useful field types from formula fields and Roll-up Summary fields. Year values in salesforce.com are limited we can not select more than that year value from the pick list.

When we click on a date field in salesforce.com, a user is automatically presented with a pop up calendar to select the data ranges. When selecting year range from the calendar we can find only 7 years. 7 years are displayed from present year to next 5 years and one previous years. If we want to choose dates further than five years in to the future we have to improve user experience and enable future years to selected.

Presenting Account Credit Score using Google Image Chart : In our previous Salesforce Tutorial we have learned about Creating an Account Revenue indicator using formula field. In this Salesforce Training Tutorial we are going to learn about presenting Account Credit Score using Google Image Chart.

Presenting Account Credit Score using Google Image Chart means rendering a credit score graphically using Google chart using Google-O-Meter chart. In this process we use salesforce crm formula fields. Google-O- meter chart is a dial-type which is developed by Google.

For presenting Account Credit Score  follow the steps shown below

Go to Setup=>Customize=>Accounts=>Fields.

Successfully we have created salesforce crm custom  field for presenting Account Credit Score using Google Image Chart. To test the working of this application go to any of the account in salesforce.com and open it in detail view and we will observe the meter.
